On the Special Collections and Archives blog we’ll keep you up to date with exhibitions, events, interesting items from the collections and our work behind the scenes.
Most of our collections are themed around 20th century popular culture. They are very varied and include three large punk collections, five Liverpool theatre collections, archives of the counter-culture in Britain, fashion history, girls’ comics and cybernetics. We will introduce them on the blog by highlighting activities based on our main themes, or selecting individual items of interest. All our collections support research and teaching in the university and we will occasionally have guest blog posts from academic staff here. We also support the university’s cultural partnerships in Liverpool and run public events which we will advertise here and on our twitter feed @LJMU_SCA.
