From Monday 28th September we will once again be able to provide access to LJMU Special Collections & Archives.   However, our procedures have changed considerably due to the ongoing COVID restrictions:

  • Access to LJMU Special Collections and Archives is currently restricted to pre-booked appointments only within our normal opening hours of 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
  • Appointments and requests for specific material must be made at least 5 working days in advance, to allow for quarantine of archive material.
  • Please note that no browsing is currently possible, you must request the specific items you wish to view.
  • The Reading Room will remain closed except for pre-booked appointments.
  • Face coverings are now mandatory across campus at LJMU.
